Chief Technology Officer

Ashok Pinto

Prior to starting at ABC Financial, Ashok most recently served as the CTO at cxLoyalty, a customer engagement company, where he defined and optimized performance for company efficiency with top financial institutions. He also served as Vice President of Global Applications and Technology Solutions at Convergys Corporation, and held multiple roles as a Vice President of Global Applications and Director of Contact Center Applications at Stream Global Services.

Throughout his career in technology, Ashok has sought out emerging tech companies and formed partnerships that deliver unique solutions while simultaneously driving operational efficiency. He is an entrepreneurial leader who leverages technological expertise and excellence in resource management to accelerate business growth and profitability. 

At ABC, Ashok will bring his background in technology and engineering to streamline the company’s commitment to building a product development organization that continues to deliver quality solutions to clients and the market.

Ashok has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, and a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology. 

Chief Executive Officer

Bill Davis

Prior to joining ABC Financial, Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer for Paycor, Inc., a Cincinnati-based Human Capital Management Company. 

Before joining Paycor, Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer for Blackboard, Inc., from 2012 to 2016. Blackboard, a Washington D.C. based technology company, is the global leader in enterprise technology and innovative solutions, working to improve the experience for millions of students and learners around the world. 

From 2002 to 2012, Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a Chicago-based publicly traded healthcare IT company focused on providing solutions that advance clinical, financial, and operational results throughout healthcare delivery systems. While at Allscripts, Bill oversaw revenue growth from $80 million in 2002 to approximately $1.4 billion in 2012. 

Prior to joining Allscripts, Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer of Lante Corporation, a Chicago-based technology consulting firm, where he helped lead the company’s IPO in February 2000 and subsequent sale in September 2002. From 1991 through 1999, Bill was an accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP. 

Bill earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and his Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University. He also is a Certified Public Accountant. 

Bill serves on the Board of the University of Cincinnati Foundation as well as the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation. 

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Bob Whisnant

Bob serves as the interim CFO for ABC. He has held the role since 1998 and in this role is responsible for Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis.

Bob obtained his CPA degree after graduating from the University of Arkansas, and worked for firms such as Touche Ross, Arthur Young, Ernst & Young, LSI Financial Services and Nuvell Financial Services before joining ABC in 1997.

Bob will continue to rely on his expertise gained over more than two decades of service as well as his passion for promoting the company’s long-standing commitment to ensuring a superior customer experience. He will use his insights from a career at top financial firms and his time at ABC Financial to develop and execute innovative solutions that foster company growth and success. 

Bob is a native Arkansan, who graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  

Chief Marketing Officer

Cristine Kao

Prior to joining ABC, Cristine served as the Vice President of Global Marketing at ACTIVE Network, a portfolio company of Global Payments Inc., where she accelerated the marketing organization to better serve as a growth engine and to retain its client base.

Cristine has 20 years of experience in the health sector, fueled by her passion to help companies and communities create healthier lives using Information Technology. She has held sales, operations and marketing positions at Carestream Health, Phreesia and GE Healthcare where she helped launch award-winning products, create global brands, and open up new and niche markets.

Cristine brings her knowledge of modern marketing that includes demand generation, product marketing, sales enablement and client success to ABC Financial. Her focus at ABC will be creating compelling and inspirational market engagement and engaging content that will help ABC support the health and fitness club community through ongoing education and engagement. 

Cristine has a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Business with a Biochemistry option from the University of Waterloo. She is also an alumna of the Harvard Business School. 

Vice President

Eric Doolittle

Eric Doolittle has served as a Vice President at Thoma Bravo since August 2017 and joined Thoma Bravo as an Associate in August 2013. Previously, he was an Analyst at Credit Suisse from July 2011 to June 2013. Mr. Doolittle currently serves on the board of directors of several software and technology service companies in which certain investment funds advised by Thoma Bravo hold an investment, including Autodata Solutions Group, TRADER Corporation, and Planview, Inc. Mr. Doolittle earned a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

Senior Operating Partner

James “Jim” K. Lines

Mr. James K. Lines, also known as Jim, is a Senior Operating Partner of Thoma Bravo, LLC. Mr. Lines is an experienced finance executive and provides a variety of management, financial, systems and due diligence assistance to Thoma Bravo and many of its portfolio companies. He has been a Director at Imprivata, Inc. since September 16, 2016. He is the Director of Dynatrace, Inc. from January 2015. Mr. Lines serves as a Board Member of Digi Cert; SailPoint Technologies Inc., Digital Insight; Global Healthcare Exchange, Inc.; LANDesk Software, Inc; Acresso Software, Inc; Flexera Software; InfoVista SA and Hyland Software, Inc. He has been a Director of Qlik Technologies, Inc. since August 22, 2016 and Riverbed Technology, Inc. since April 24, 2015. He serves as a Director of Blue Coat Systems, Inc., Deltek, Inc., Compuware Corporation, LANDesk Group, Inc., Local Media of America Holdings, Inc., Mediware Information Systems, Inc., SRS Software LLC, Telestream, Inc., Tripwire, Inc and SolarWinds Holdings, Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President of United Surgical Partners International, Inc. He served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Surgical Partners International Inc., as well as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ITI Marketing Services. Mr. Lines served as the Chief Financial Officer at Embarcadero Technologies Inc. Mr. Lines was responsible for Embarcadero Technologies’ financial operations. Mr. Lines served as the Chief Executive Officer of Lines Consulting Group, for seven years. Prior to these roles, Mr. Lines served for 12 years in various financial management capacities at affiliates of AMR Corporation (American Airlines), including Chief Financial Officer of The SABRE Group. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fidelity Systems Company. He was a Director at SailPoint Technologies Holdings, Inc. until October 2017. He serves as a Director at TravelClick, Inc. He served as a Director of Entrust, Inc., Flexara Software, Inc., Network Instruments, Inc., and Roadnet Technologies, Inc., Vector SGI, Inc. Mr. Lines serves as a Director at Solarwinds Corporation since February 5, 2016 and SolarWinds North America, Inc. since February 2016. He was a Director at Keynote Systems, Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Lines has financial experience. Mr. Lines has an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Chief Services Officer

Jill Dozier

Serving as the Chief Services Officer at ABC Financial, Jill is responsible for the day-to-day services and support to our clients and members.  She is extremely passionate about creating exceptional user experiences through the use of technology and automation. 

With over 28 years of ABC experience, Jill has had the opportunity to serve in many different areas of the company. Starting as a Customer Service Representative in 1991, Jill gained extensive knowledge of ABC Financial’s product and services. This knowledge along with her leadership skills has allowed her to assist with the development of several key areas within the company that has led ABC Financial to be the preeminent company that it is today.

Operating Advisor

John Kim

John Kim is an Operating Advisor at Thoma Bravo, where he provides financial planning, analysis and reporting support to the portfolio companies and financial due diligence guidance to the companies’ board of directors. He is a seasoned finance and treasury professional, with more than 25 years of experience in various financial and engineering leadership capacities. John spent the first six years of his career as an engineer at Honeywell, where he transitioned into finance. He worked at global technology companies such as Autodesk, UTStarcom, Keynote Systems and Embarcadero Technologies in a finance capacity and most recently as vice president of finance and treasurer for Digital Insight Corporation, which was acquired from Intuit and subsequently sold to NCR by Thoma Bravo. John has an MBA degree from the University of Southern California and BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Chief Engagement Officer

Kelly Card

As the Chief Engagement Officer, Kelly Card is responsible for technology and service partnerships that enrich the club and user experience through integration advancement and the evolution of Fitness Industry best practices.

Kelly has 20+ years of experience on the frontier of Fitness Industry technology. She previously founded Club Apps, the first mobile app company for health clubs and served as the VP of Sales and Marketing and Senior VP of Partner Relations for ABC. Kelly is also a board member of the Fitness Industry Technology Council.

Chief Operating Officer

Khal Rai

Prior to starting at ABC Financial, Khal served as the President and CEO of SRS Health, a software and services company in the healthcare industry. He joined SRS in 2014 and was instrumental in creating the company’s vision and strategy. He also consistently collaborated with customers and partners which resulted in the company receiving the top KLAS rating in its sector.

Khal has over 20 years of global leadership experience serving in technology and software companies. Prior to joining SRS Health, he spent 15 years at General Electric (GE) in increasingly prominent management roles in the organization’s healthcare IT group—including General Management, Product and R&D Leadership positions. He then served as Chief Technical Officer at Omnyx, a joint venture between GE and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

At ABC, Khal will apply expertise from his career in healthcare and technology to develop insightful strategies and solutions to position the company and its clients for future success. 

Khal holds a B.S in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and an M.S in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, Indiana. 

Chief Sales Officer

Kyle Garner

Prior to joining ABC, Kyle enjoyed an extensive career at Xerox Corporation where he most recently served as Vice President of Graphic Communications from 2014 to 2018. While at Xerox, Kyle also held a number of executive positions within sales, marketing and client services support. 

From 2012 to 2013, Kyle was appointed as Vice President to lead and develop a newly-formed $190M business unit within Xerox. In that position, Kyle was responsible for financial performance, sales, marketing, technical and professional services, as well as all other operational aspects of the division. 

Prior to entering a senior leadership role, he found success as a sales manager, product specialist and sales representative, bringing over a decade of experience in the design, development and execution of sales management and enablement programs to ABC. 

At ABC, Kyle will expand on his history of consistently growing revenue and profit by positioning the company for future growth.  

Kyle holds a B.A. from University of Arkansas, a M.P.A. from University of Arkansas and is a Lean Six Sigma certified Green Belt. 

Chief Information Officer

Lee Washington

As the Chief Information Officer, Lee is responsible for all aspects of technology and operations utilized to deliver world-class products and services to ABC Financial customers.

With over 20 years of experience, he is recognized for demonstrating the right combination of visionary leadership, technical pedigree, and domain expertise. He is passionate about implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions while developing and leading high-performing teams that create Raving Fans.

Lee earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Central Arkansas.

Marcel Bernard

Marcel Bernard is a Senior Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo, LLC.

Previously Marcel was the Corporate VP, Operations, Geac Computer Corporation at Markham, ON, Canada, Senior Vice President of St. Lawrence Cement, Inc. at Mount-Royal, Québec Canada, President and Chief Executive Officer of SaskTel (Saskatchewan Telecommunications) at Regina, SK, Canada and President of Motorola Canada, Inc. at Markham, ON, Canada.

Marcel currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Activant Solultions, Inc., Datatel, Inc., Acresso Software, Inc., Entrust, Inc., Manatron, Inc., Hyland Software, Inc., LANDesk Software, Inc., Embarcadero Technologies, Inc., SonicWall, Telestream, Inc., Empirix, Inc., Global Healthcare Exchange, Inc., TravelClick, Inc., Sparta Systems, Inc..

Chief Customer Officer

Mike Escobedo

In his role as Chief Customer Officer, Mike is responsible for delivering an engaging, proactive relationship with our clients that embodies true partnership. Whether it’s our client’s first day with ABC Financial, or they are several years into our relationship, his passion is ensuring we deeply understand our clients’ business, their growth strategies, and provide them with every available tool needed to succeed. His teams consist of highly skilled professionals who are business-leaders, industry experts, specialize in ABC Financial’s software, and share the overall vision of ensuring our clients become and remain Raving Fans!

Mike brings several years of executive management experience in the fitness industry, as well as working with many Fortune 500 companies, specifically in areas of client support and customer relations. He has held numerous leadership roles in both private and public sectors.

Mike’s collegiate studies include Computer Science at MTI School of Business & Technology, as well as Business Administration at California State University Sacramento.

Nicolaas Vlok

Nicolaas Vlok is an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo. He is an experienced software CEO and Board Member. Nicolaas holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria.

Vice Chairman

Paul Schaller

In his position of Chief Executive Officer, Paul’s responsibilities include direct oversight of ABC Financial’s President and Executive Vice President positions, as well as, serving as a liaison between ABC and the private equity firm Thoma Bravo. Paul’s fitness industry experience and his service at ABC for over 26 years gives him the ability to lead with a vision and provide constant clarity to ABC’s 900 plus staff. Paul has all levels of experience as he once owned and operated clubs in North Carolina, used ABC as a customer, and has held various positions within ABC.

Paul Zuber

Paul Zuber is an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo. He brings 25 years of experience in founding and growing successful global technology companies. Paul currently serves as Chairman at Elemica, Inc., Continuum Managed Services, and MeridianLink, and holds Board positions at Dynatrace, LogRhythm, Inc., MedeAnalytics, Inc., Imprivata, Inc., Kofax, Empirix, Barracuda Networks, Inc., Frontline Education, and ABC Financial. He is a former board member of Telestream, Keynote, PowerPlan, Mediware, Landesk/Ivanti, Embarcadero, GHX, and SRS Software LLC.


Prior to Thoma Bravo, Paul was the founding CEO of Dilithium Networks, a global leader in mobile video infrastructure solutions. The company was acquired by OnMobile (NYSE:ONMOBILE). He also was a co-founder and CEO of Bluegum Group, growing the EMS company to $500M in revenue before its acquisition by Solectron. Paul also held a variety of senior management positions at the embedded systems software company Ready Systems, including VP of Operations, CFO and VP of Global Support Services before its acquisition by Mentor Graphics. Before joining Ready Systems, Paul founded JGC and as CEO, led the microcomputer-based CAD and CAE solutions provider into market leadership before a private investment group acquired it. He began his career as a management consultant with Bain & Company, where he was a founding member of the team that became the private equity group (Bain Capital).

Paul received the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneer Award on behalf of Dilithium Networks in Davos in 2010. He is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and is a guest lecturer at the Iovine and Young Academy at USC. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University with BA degrees in both International Relations and Economics. Paul also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Principal

Peter Stefanski

Peter Stefanski is a Principal at Thoma Bravo. Based in San Francisco, he joined the firm in 2011. Previously he worked in mergers and acquisitions at Barclays Capital. Peter holds a BSBA degree in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University.

Chief People Officer

Rachana Jain

Rachana brings over 20 years of strategic management experience to the Human Resources function, where she has led teams through organizational development and transformation. 

Prior to joining ABC Financial, Rachana served as the Global VP of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition for Emtec, Inc. Over a six-year period, Rachana helped successfully execute a companywide cultural transformation initiative encompassing a complete organizational re-design that helped the company further focus on digitalization and innovation. Prior to Emtec, Rachana held multiple roles at Accenture within its global talent organization. 

At ABC Financial, Rachana is working to enhance the employee experience by creating a transparent and accountable, performance-driven culture. She will also be leading programs that are investing in employee workforce training and development so that every ABC employee is capable of delivering on our commitment to generating “Raving Fans”. 

Rachana holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Delhi School of Economics.

Chief Product Officer

Ryon Packer

Prior to joining ABC, Ryon served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing and Senior Vice President of Product Management at the financial services company FISERV. While with FISERV, he maximized innovation and market-centric solutions within the financial services industry, perfectly aligning him for his new role at ABC Financial.

Before his time with FISERV, Ryon was Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Authentix, an authentication solutions company, and previous to that role he served as Chief Marketing Officer at SourceHOV, a technology-enabled business services company – both private equity owned companies with successful transitions. Ryon also held various senior positions in product management and marketing, leading new product and solution development at Dell and Perot Systems. 

Ryon brings more than 30 years of experience in technology, strategy, product management, marketing and sales to ABC Financial. A consummate product innovator and business leader, Ryon joined his first technology start-up company while still in college.

At ABC, Ryon will apply his years of experience and comprehensive insights regarding the role technology plays in business to provide the foundation for differentiating ABC’s products and solutions while also creating a superior user experience. Ryon’s priority at ABC is to ensure that every interaction with members, club and payment management systems is a seamless and frictionless process.   

Managing Partner

Scott Crabill

Scott Crabill is a Managing Partner at Thoma Bravo. In this role, he is responsible for identifying and executing new deals, working closely with portfolio companies as an active board member, and helping to manage the firm. He joined Thoma Bravo in 2002 to help develop the firm’s investment strategy in the software industry. He was previously part of the investment team at Summit Partners, where he was involved in private equity investments in software and other technology businesses. Scott also worked as an investment professional at private equity firm J.H. Whitney and in corporate finance at Alex. Brown & Sons. Additionally, Scott is a board member of the CPMC Foundation, which is the capital raising arm of Sutter Health hospital in San Francisco. Scott earned a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
