You’ve been working hard to achieve the summer body you want, but now that you’re going on vacation it’s difficult to stay on track without having a gym nearby. You don’t have to let that keep you from staying in shape. We’ve come up with 10 easy workouts that don’t require any equipment or weights. From cardio to strength training, we’ve got a workout that fits your needs while traveling this summer.

  1. Walking on the Beach
Walking in sand is much harder than walking on flat ground and it burns more calories. So, wake up 30 minutes early and enjoy a quick run along the beach before you relax for the rest of the day.
  2. Pushups
Pushups are a simple workout that you can do basically anywhere at any time. Whether you’re on the beach or just in your hotel room, take 15 minutes out of your day to do a quick round of pushups to keep your arms, chest and core in shape.
  3. Squats
Squats are very simple, yet very effective for a great on-the-go workout. Squats work the glutes, quads, and hamstrings and there are numerous ways to squat to focus on each muscle. Try doing as many reps as possible for 30 seconds without rest.
  4. Tricep Dips
Tricep dips are another great workout you can do without weights. These can be done on the floor or you can use a chair or bench by lowering the hips and bending at the elbow. Quick tip: Make sure your hands are pointed towards your hips and stay close to the bench or chair.
  5. Burpees
You either love them or you hate them, but either way they provide a great workout. From a squat to a plank then jumping back to a standing position, you work muscles from your upper and lower body, as well as your core. It’s an all-in-one workout that’s easy to do on the go. 6. Crunches
From the standard crunch to bear crawls and Russian twists, these are all great exercises to target your core without needing any extra equipment.
  7. Jumping Jacks
If you’re looking for a great exercise to get your blood flowing, jumping jacks make a great workout. Jumping jacks are a great way to improve stamina, endurance, mobility and circulation. Whether you’re on a ski trip in Colorado or visiting the Florida beaches, jumping jacks are an easy workout for any vacation destination.
  8. Planks
Planks are another awesome workout for those on the go or just needing a new exercise to add to your morning workout. This exercise is great for improving balance, strengthening your core and even boosting metabolism.
  9. Tuck Jumps
A tuck jump may seem simple, but it’s a killer HITT (high-intensity interval training) workout that burns a lot of calories. Tuck jumps are a great body weight exercise that will strengthen and tone your lower body.
  10. Lunges
Lunges can be stationary or walking, but either way they’re a great workout that doesn’t require any weights. Lunges work the glutes and hamstrings, while increasing flexibility in the hip flexors.
